Amazon.com Product Description From the renowned company that created the Swiss Army Knife a century ago comes the SwissCard Lite, an ultra-thin multi-tool that's an ideal tag-along accessory for users everywhere. The SwissCard Lite is roughly the size of a credit card, so you can easily fit it in your wallet or pocket. However, the SwissCard Lite performs a ton of tasks that your AmEx card can't, with such tools as a letter opener, a small set of scissors, a pair of tweezers, a straight pin, a pressurized ballpoint pen, and a magnifying glass. And that's just the beginning, as the device also includes such fix-it tools as 3mm and 5mm flat-head screwdrivers, two Phillips screwdrivers, an LED mini light, and a ruler that measures items in both inches and centimeters. In short, there's no better multi-tool for people who find traditional Swiss Army Knives a little bulky. The SwissCard Lite, which measures 3.25 inches long, carries the Victorinox lifetime warranty. About Victorinox In 1884, Swiss cutler Karl Elsener set up shop in Ibach-Schwyz, installing a waterwheel in Tobelbach Brook to run his grinding and polishing machines. Thus began what would become the international brand name Victorinox, a combination of Victoria, for Elsener's mother, and "inox," or stainless steel. Today, Victorinox produces watches, luggage, clothing, and, famously, Swiss Army Knives. The original product dates to 1897, when Elsener patented the Swiss Officer's and Sports Knife he supplied to the Swiss Army. Following World War II, American servicemen and women shopping in PX stores shortened the name to Swiss Army Knife, which lives on in English-speaking countries around the world and has become a metaphor for versatility.

lite not worth it August 29, 2010 goodorbad Don't buy this if you want it for the light. It's range is about 1 inch from the card. Even then, it is so weak you can hardly see what it's pointing at. And this was in a perfectly dark room. If there is any other ambient light, it provides no useful enhancement. You're better off feeling your way around with your hands.
Although I agree with other reviewers that the pen is too small to be comfortable using, the rest of the tools are fine. Just don't buy this one if you think the light will come in handy sometime; it won't.
Victorinox Swisscard Lite March 9, 2010 C. Conner (San Diego, CA) This is a great product, and very handy to have. It fits easily in a guys wallet, and gives you a handy knife, scissors and tweezers. Very useful!
Convenient tool, always have it with you February 20, 2010 T. Viars (Cincinnati, OH) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Got these for myself and my family for Christmas. Slipped it in my wallet, have used it constantly since then. Had the previous Swiss Card before, it disintegrated in my wallet in a few months and has been in pieces in my desk ever since. This model seems to be holding up better -- no signs of cracking after 2 months, at least. The new card is much better designed, no silly sliding door. My only complaints are that I miss the toothpick and the LED light isn't really bright enough to serve any real purpose.
The screwdriver tool is incredibly convenient -- handles most small screws easily and is much easier to locate than my mini screwdriver set. Won't do eyeglasses though, so I still need to keep them around.
The pen takes some skill to use -- it's not something you'd use to write letters, but it's functional for small tasks.
The pin gets a little bent due to the way it's held in the card, but it's still useful for pushing those microscopic reset buttons on electronics.
Tweezers are the usual -- don't really grasp with much force but can grab most things.
The knife and scissors are what you'd expect from Victorinox -- probably the sharpest blades in my house, along with my real pocketknife. The knife is designed backwards from the previous card though, so I keep trying to insert it in the card upside-down as a result.
Overall, a useful tool to have, but make sure you remember to take it out of your wallet before you go to the airport.
the price was right February 3, 2010 Paul Pachuski (Mount Carmel, PA, US) I shop and couldn't find a better deal. The Victorinox Swisscard Lite is like having a tool box that fits in your wallet.
